Aubrey Pappanastos joined Pelham High School as an assistant volleyball coach in 2018. Pappanastos joins the team after spending a year serving as the volunteer assistant coach for
The University of Alabama women’s volleyball team as she worked to complete her master’s degree in elementary education.
Before her time at The University of Alabama, Pappanastos was an integral part of The University of Mississippi’s (Ole Miss) volleyball team. She was a four year starting setter that led the team to three winning seasons. Pappanastos set and holds the career, single-season, and single-match assist records, and also helped the team set a single-season hitting percentage record in 2014. She was named an AVCA All-South Region member two times. In addition to her success on the court, Pappanastos was also a two time Academic All-American, three time Academic All-District, and named to the SEC honor roll and Chancellor’s honor roll. Pappanastos earned a Taylor Medal (the highest academic award at The University of Mississippi) for her success on the court as well as in the classroom. She was also a two time SEC Community Service Team member.
Aubrey is originally from Fayetteville, Arkansas and is recently married to Andy Pappanastos. She will be teaching second grade at Pelham Oaks Elementary while she serves as an assistant coach to the Pelham High School volleyball team.
