The Pelham Panthers rallied from a halftime deficit and dominated the final quarter to earn a 6A region win during Senior Night at Ned Bearden Stadium. After a scoreless first quarter the Panthers and Rams went into halftime with the Rams leading 14-10. In the second quarter the Panthers scored on field goal from Junior Kicker Salvador Jimenez and a 42 Yard TD Pass from Senior Xavier Lankford to Sophomore William Lankford. In the third quarter the Rams scored a touchdown but missed the extra point to make the score 20-10 entering the final quarter. In the fourth quarter the Panthers scored on a 25 yard TD run from Sophomore RB Gabe Gamble. Then QB Xavier Lankford scored on a 56 yard Option Keep to give the Panthers a 24-20 lead. The Panthers added another TD on a 5 yard TD run from RB Gabe Gamble. Offensively RB Gabe Gamble had 250 rushing yards on 23 carries and 2 TD’s. While Quarterback Xavier Lankford had 125 rushing yards on 10 carries and a TD, he also added 85 yards passing and a TD. Defensively Sophomore LB Braden Marlowe had 10 tackles and Sophomore Safety Fabian Calderon and Senior LB Tyler Zuiderhoek both added interceptions. The Panthers travel to Jackson-Olin next Thursday October 10th for another 6A Region Contest
