The Pelham Panthers lost to their Cross Town Rival Helena Huskies in the season finale 62-20. The Panthers opened the scoring on Senior Quarterback Xavier Lankford’s 30 yard touchdown pass to Sophomore WR Christian Pritchett that put the Panthers on top 7-0 with 9:16 to play in the first quarter. On Helena’s first offensive possession the Panthers forced a three-and-out, which led to Sophomore LB Brayden Marlowe blocking a punt and setting the Panthers offense up deep in Husky territory. The Panthers converted the blocked punt into a 34-yard field goal from Junior Kicker Salvador Jimenez. In the second quarter Panthers Kicker Salvador Jimenez was able to convert a 19 yard field. The Panthers final score happened as the horn sounded to end the second quarter. The Panthers were able to connect on a 50-yard pass from Quarterback Xavier Lankford to Junior WR Walker Lyles to make the halftime score 35-20.
